Round 11 of the UAE Rotax Max Challenge will see eight of the UAE’s most promising junior drivers from the Daman Speed Academy (DSA) competing in the Yas North Handling Circuit on Friday 20th March 2015.

The Yas North Handling Circuit is the fastest track in the Championship and as a result this weekend promises some exciting racing as thanks to its open straights and smooth wide curves. The circuit also features very high grip so the teams and drivers will have to pay special attention to the tyres and conserve them throughout the day particularly for the final race.

Featuring in the DSA’s line up this weekend is one of the rising stars, Hamda Al Qubaisi who has been racing well all season, reaching the podium 3 times. Hamda will be competing in the Mini Max Category. Her sister Amna Al Qubaisi along with Saeed Al Ali, Salem Ibrahim and Ahmed Al Khamisi will be competing in the Junior Max category. Meanwhile the Micro Max Category will feature DSA drivers: Abdulla Al Qubaisi, Ali Al Shamsi and Ahmed Al Saadi.

Robert Cregan, Daman Speed Academy Program Director at ADR said: “I am confident we will see some great performances from the DSA drivers this weekend, they have been steadily improving all season and I know they are excited about competing on home turf.”

Daman Speed Academy was launched last year as a joint initiative between the National Health Insurance Company “Daman” and Abu Dhabi Racing. Its objective is to prepare the next generation of Emirati track stars who through their performance and ambition, will inspire Emirati youth into harnessing their skills to reach their goals and aspirations in the future.
