Sodi Racing Team ready for tough UAE Rotax Max Challenge season

  • Strong Sodi line-up in all four classes Rotax Max classes
  • Pre-season testing has been encouraging for Sodi drivers

The Sodi Racing Team ME will field an impressive line-up of drivers in all four main classes at this weekend’s opening round of the 2015-2016 UAE Rotax Max Challenge at Al Ain Raceway.

In the Micro Max class Georgie Zouein and Diaraf Keinde have previous experience in the series on their side and should be among the front runners from the outset. They are joined by rookies Archie Sampson and Luis Velasco – the pair progressing from the Kartdrome based SWS Junior Sprint Cup series and graduated from the Sodi Me Racing Academy.

Khaled Saab will have his work cut out in the highly competitive Mini Max class. Last year he impressed in the Micro Max class and has the talent to be among the pace setters in his debut season in the category.

Enzo Fontanella, Logan Hannah, Omar Alami and Eliot Jones spearhead the Sodi challenge in the Junior Max class. In pre-season testing and in the recent non-championship Al Ain Invitational they were at the sharp end of proceedings.

Jan Richtermeier, Abigail Birch and Fraser Rose are a formidable trio who will be battling it out in the Max Senior category. Confidence is high in the senior camp in the wake of solid pre-season progress.

The Rotax Max Challenge is the premier karting series in the UAE with the top drivers rewarded each year with a ticket to the Rotax World Finals. Hence the competition is tough and demanding.

The 2015-2016 season will be run over 12 rounds, and will visit Al Ain Raceway, Al Forsan, Yas Marina Circuit, Muscat Speedway (Oman) and Dubai Kartdrome.
